V Magazine: Fashion + Photography well executed
I’ve come to realize that my favorite kind of editorials are ones that mix in great fashion with great photographic skill. The combination turns photos into much more than an editorial—it becomes pure art.
Below are some pictures of an editorial Nick Knight did for V Magazine #71, starring Ming Xi and various spring haute couture collections. Amazing job on Nick’s part for creating whimsical play and water color design into photos.

Philip and Jerry and both of my favorite asian male models so it’s nice seeing them in such a high fashion editorial together. Color blocking, a predominately women’s wear trend, is making itself into the menswear scene, as shown by this well-put editorial. I love the spring colors that were used and the storyline was great! My favorite spread is the one of Philip sitting on the blue and white striped chair—what a great pattern to contrast that color blocking outfit!

This is Vogue Korea’s May cover. Polka dots and stripes are the ever classic look of America so it’s nice to see old American style translated onto Asian style. The pairing of sheer, billowing skirts gives the roughness of stripes and dots a nice, feminine touch.
